Indian Monsoon Malabar coffee has been a favorite for over 175 years. In the 19th century, raw Indian coffee beans were loaded onto wooden ships and sent around the African continent to arrive in Europe. During this 6-month-long journey, the humidity and ocean winds slowly turned the coffee beans from fresh green to a pale, aged yellow. Once brewed, the coffee had a remarkably smooth, mellow character. Indian Monsoon Malabar coffee became an instant European hit. Today, these conditions are replicated in warehouses during the Indian monsoon season so that the coffee beans are exposed to constant humidity and undergo the same transformation in size, texture, and flavor.

Our blend is a full-bodied and mellow coffee with low acidity and a spicy aftertaste. Available as whole Indian Monsoon Malabar coffee beans or grounds.
