Speeder & Earl’s first began roasting coffee in Burlington’s South End in the summer of 1993. Over 20 plus years later, we’ve grown from a small family business to a slightly bigger, small family business. The family that dropped the first roast still runs the business today, it has passed from one generation to the next and we have a much larger roastery space. The Pine Street café, our first to open, is still serving coffee 7 days a week.
At Speeders, we pride ourselves in the coffee that we roast, bringing Vermonters an increasingly large selection of single origin varietals, unique blends, fair trade & organic coffees, flavored coffees, and Swiss-water processed decafs. At any given time we have coffees from every coffee growing region, and we are constantly mixing things up and bringing in new beans that cup well.
All of our coffees are small batch roasted and leave the roastery within days (sometimes hours), ensuring freshness. With our new flat rate shipping and wholesale purchasing options we are sharing our knack with coffee lovers across the nation.
Speeder & Earl's is proud to partner with active members of the local and coffee community. Each organization brings a unique element to our coffee production and shops, making us who we are today.
